Creative Director, Copywriter

Reid is an accomplished, future-focused, strategic and collaborative senior-level Brand and Digital Creative Director. Reid believes in the kind of creativity that does more than earn attention, it inspires brand stories that drive business results in an inter-connected world. He’s seen first-hand how the simplicity, memorability and magic of a big idea drive results. (His “You Got People” platform took H&R Block from 19MM annual returns to over 22.5MM in 3 years.) But as digital and social platforms continue to grow and evolve, consumers are in control more than ever. Marketers need to ensure their brand can thrive “in the wild” of social media, where consumers are either talking about it, calling BS on it, advocating for it, or worse: downright ignoring it. Now, more than ever, what a brand does – not what it says or sells – is its message. Talking about yourself in a fresh way is table-stakes. You must also do things worth talking about. 

Lauren Hartman
Design Director

Through working at small, local advertising agencies and corporations the last seven plus years as an Assistant Art Director, Design Director and Senior Graphic Designer I have been equipped with a diverse range of capabilities and qualifications.

Through these years of experience, I have realized the worst-kept secret in advertising is that creatives rarely read the Creative Brief. As a designer with experience in Account Management, that’s always baffled me. I mean, if you don’t know the client, the challenge and the business goal, then what audience are you designing for?

I enjoy creating all assets for my projects, from illustration to photography, my portfolio highlights a range of unique graphic solutions from concept to production. I’m proud to say that I’m a digital, print and motion graphics designer without a clearly recognizable style. Because if your work is truly based on research and strategy instead of personal taste—and designed for a unique customer audience instead of yourself or your peers—then shouldn’t every piece look different?

Maybe this bigger perspective comes from my early experience in retail management, where you quickly learn that every industry is ultimately about customer service.

Clients value my strategery, creativity, versatility, listening ability and problem-solving. Colleagues value my sense of humor and my ability to spike a volleyball.

Dan Mackaman
Copywriter

Dan creates consumer and B2B advertising for local and national companies As a creative director/copywriter, my experience includes everything from integrated TV, radio, print and online campaigns to collateral and direct mail.

Over time it’s evolved with each new project I work on. Nobody wants to watch it. Nobody wants to hear it. Nobody wants to click on it. Nobody wants to try it. Unless you can inspire them. And that’s what’s I try to do every day.

Mike Swanson
Media Director

Mike has over 20 years of experience planning and buying media on a local, national and global basis. He was Media Director, Senior Partner at Carmichael Lynch leading a 25-person media planning and buying department with 20+ accounts including Harrah’s, Harley-Davidson, Porsche, First Alert, White Wave/Silk Soy Milk, Capella University and Sear’s Auto Center.

Past experience includes Associate Media Director positions at Weiden & Kennedy in Portland, OR (NIKE) and with Euro/MVBMS in New York City leading the Volvo, New Balance and United Healthcare teams. Other experience includes Hazelden, HealthEast and North Memorial hospitals, LifeSource, Metro DentalCare and Prairie Stone Pharmacy. Mike began his career at Fallon McElligott working on clients that included FedEx, Porsche, Timex, StarTribune, Ameritech, Lee Jeans, Black & Decker and United States Golf Association.
