Tough talk.

Berkley wanted to position Trilene as the toughest line around. So it only seemed natural to show how tough their line is in its natural environment: Under water. Different species were used to show the variety of different lines. (No fish were harmed during the shooting of these ads.) Collateral materials and TV advertising was also created to support the “tough talk” positioning—which really caught on with anglers.
